In case you missed it yesterday, Chris Brown exploded in rage behind the scenes at Good Morning America, smashing a window with a chair and storming out of the building without a shirt. The outburst was reportedly triggered by on-air questions about the Rihanna assault. Brown first performed and was then interviewed by Robin Roberts live from the Times Square studio when she began asking about the infamous incident. Brown tried to redirect the questions to focus on his new album but Roberts continued to ask about Brown's legal issues. After the interview, Brown reportedly freaked out, storming into his dressing room and screaming so loud the people in hair and makeup became alarmed and called security. Brown was said to be out of control, and one source witnessed him smash a window in his dressing room, the damage of which was visible from outside the building. By the time security rushed the area, Brown had ripped off his shirt and left, skipping another performance he was supposed to do for the ABC website. Brown is still on probation for the felony beating and is required to obey all laws, but likely wont face a probation violation over the incident since the police were not involved. Good Morning America and Robin Roberts have defended the interview, saying that Brown's camp approved the questions beforehand and they should not have angered him.
A judge sentenced Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor to six years of probation yesterday for paying an underage girl for sex. The former linebacker avoided jail time but must register as a sex offender and pay a $2,000 fine. The sentence was expected since Taylor, 52, had reached a plea bargain with prosecutors in which he pleaded guilty in January to two misdemeanors and cooperated with their ongoing probe into sex trafficking in the New York area. He previously faced felony charges. Taylor admitted to paying a 16-year-old girl $300 for sex at a Holiday Inn northwest of New York City. The girl, a runaway, told police her pimp had verbally threatened her and physically assaulted her before bringing her to the hotel.

Anthony Hopkins' exorcism thriller, The Rite, opened number one at the weekend box office, but was well below expectations with just $15 million. No Strings Attached starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher came in number two in its second week with $13.7 million. Jason Statham's action flick The Mechanic came in number three with $11.5 million. The Green Hornet and The King's Speech rounded out the top five.
Charlie Shenn will be in rehab for at least three months, TMZ reports. Sheen’s rep released a statement on behalf of the actor Friday, revealing he had “voluntarily” chosen to enter rehab. CBS also quickly announced that “Two and a Half Men,” was going on hiatus due to Charlie's decision to seek treatment. Meanwhile, the rumor continues to swirl about Charlie and the wild party that saw him hospitalized on Thursday, with some claiming that he wrote a porn star a $36,000 check, talked about buying a Mercedes dealership so he always has access to a car, and dismissed any allegations that he has a problem. Charlie still insists that he can do whatever he wants as long as he shows up to work and does a good job.
Bruno Mars is taking a plea deal in Las Vegas to be allowed to pay a fine, serve probation and have a felony cocaine possession charge against him dismissed. He's due before a Las Vegas judge February 4th so he can plead guilty and be sentenced in state court. If he pays a $2,000 fine, performs 200 hours of community service, completes drug counseling and stays out of trouble for a year, no conviction will remain on his record. The plea agreement will let Mars step past the Las Vegas cocaine charge a week before the Grammys where he is nominated for seven awards
Demi Lovato is back home. The 18-year-old has finished her treatment for "emotional and physical issues." A source tells People magazine, "She will continue to see doctors in L.A. who will help her work on the issues she confronted in treatment. Demi checked in to the center in late October after allegedly punching one of the Jonas Brothers' dancers in the face.
On Friday, Chris Brown asked a judge to get the restraining order against him lifted. Brown wants the order to change from "stay away" to "do not annoy." This would remove the part of the restraining order that requires him to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna. Brown is asking for the order to be lifted just in time for the Grammys, for which he is nominated. In his defense, Chris has completed all of his court-ordered domestic violence classes and has been praised by the judge for his progress and community service work.

TMZ reports that Lindsay Lohan is being charged with Felony Grand Theft for allegedly stealing jewelry from a Los Angeles store last week. The charges will be filed as early as today, and come after the LAPD began to investigate video surveillance that showed her with the necklace in the store, and photos of Lohan a week later showing her wearing a necklace that looks similar. If she's guilty, Lohan could face jail time, especially since a conviction would violate the terms of her probation. Lohan's attorney said Saturday that her client did not steal the necklace and will fight any charges if they are filed.
The Roommate moved into the top spot at the box office with a $15.6 million debut during a typically slow Super Bowl weekend. The 3-D underwater cave adventure Sanctum came in second with $9.2 million.
Shia LaBeouf had to be cuffed and detained by cops around 1 a.m. Sunday after a fight broke out at a Los Angeles bar. A bouncer reportedly restrained the actor in a head lock on the scene before police intervened. No arrests were made. Shia was hanging with an entourage of more than a dozen when an angry patron called LaBeouf "f--got," after which Shia reportedly lunged to fight and was immediately punched. A squad car driving by the chaotic scene called for backup.

Sources close to the production of Jersey Shore have revealed that for the upcoming fourth season of the smash reality series, the cast will be most likely be relocating to Italy. Dr. Conrad Murray pled not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson yesterday. Murray is accused of giving the pop icon a fatal dose of Propofol. If convicted, he could face a maximum of four years in prison. Katherine Jackson and her son Randy were among the family members at the arraignment hearing in Los Angeles. Jury selection is set for March 28th, and the judge said he is "inclined" to permit live TV coverage of the trial.

Last week's number one movie, The Green Hornet, dropped to second place with $18.1 million. It has now made $63.4 million total. The Dilemma was also down one to third with $9.7 million in its second weekend. The King's Speech was steady at fourth with $9.2 million. The film's Oscar chances received a surprise boost on Saturday when it was named best picture by the Producers Guild of America.

Golden-voiced homeless man Ted Williams reportedly entered rehab yesterday at the urging of Dr. Phil. Apparently, while taping a two-episode arc on Phil's show (part two airs today), Ted and his family revealed that the overnight viral-video star is not really as sober as he claimed and was actually drunk when he fought with his daughter earlier this week in an altercation that saw them both briefly detained by police. Details are still unclear as to where Ted will seek help, who will footing the bill, and if any of the job offers he's recieved in the last week will be waiting for him when he's out.
Charlie Sheen called in sick to the set of Two & A Half Men yesterday claiming terrible pain in his ear. At first, many were quick to assume this was just an excuse to cover the downward spiral of addiction he's been suffering from as of late. But late in the day Charlie's ear infection story was confirmed by a doctor at Warner Brothers, whom is contractually obligated to diagnose the star for insurance purposes. Charlie then went to his own doctor for treatment. It's unknown if he'll be back at work today or if studio execs will use the illness as a way to get Charlie help for his addictions.

Comedy's version of the Grammys is on its way. The first annual Comedy Awards ceremony will be held on March 26th. It'll be broadcast on April 10th. (--It'll air simultaneously on Comedy Central, Spike TV, TV Land, VH1 and Nick at Nite.) The show will recognize "the year's best comedy films, television series and digital content" . . . and will feature awards for "writers, directors and actors as well as lifetime achievement honors."

Jermaine Jackson is stuck in Africa and cannot come back to the U.S. until he pays what he owes in child support, nearly $100,000. The drug possession case against T.I.'s wife Tameka Cottle has been dismissed. The L.A. County District Attorney's office said the case was dropped because she completed 24 sessions of a certified drug diversion program in Georgia. T.I. and Tameka were pulled over and arrested back in September. They were booked for possession of a controlled substance. The D.A. dropped the case against T.I. since he was already headed back to prison because the arrest alone was enough to violate his federal probation.

Those teens. Always thinking. Always one step ahead of us. Even when it comes to sexting.
Because while we've been convincing ourselves that it can't get any worse than our daughters and sons sending naked pictures of themselves to a friend via cellphone, they just made it MUCH worse on themselves. An estimated 39 percent of teens have "sexted," but the number of teenagers sending naked VIDEOS has been on the rise. I don't know about you, but that just made me gag a little.Because nothing sounds worse than these four words said in succession: my daughter's sex tape. Ewww! Did you just cringe a little bit too? I'm ready to roll out the bubble myself.
Because kids don't think "sex tape" like "Pamela Anderson" or a (shudder) Real Housewives "star," but that's what sexting videos is, right? Sending poorly shot (please, oh please, be pixel-y and grainy) moving pictures of a naked child out to the world, to bounce around from cellphone to cellphone in perpetuity for people to watch. Even if they're not getting it on with someone, it's still a porn video at the very least. And most disgustingly, a CHILD porn video.
A picture may represent 1,000 words, but a video is thousands of pictures (if you're freeze-framing), allowing someone to look at our kids nakedness over and over and then over again. It's essentially a picture amplified. One picture catches one moment, and you get lucky. A video catches it all, your flaws as you move, as you talk.
And that's not even considering the thought of the video being shot without your kid knowing it, then disseminated around the Web, a la a video in the gym locker room or at a sleepover. It opens a kid up for more bullying and more exploitation in just one few seconds long clip.
I'm not being a prude here people. If your kid is over 18, getting into the adult entertainment business a la sex videos is his/her business. But while she's a kid, this is one of the worst things I can think of my child volunteering to do to herself.
Is this worse than naked pictures or just more of the same disturbing trend?

KATY PERRY THE COMPLEX SHOOT
As a Seventh-day christian Adventist, I’ve never believed in eternal burning hell or such a vindictive G-d as hell seems to portray. (I realize much has been written to put a finer face on it, but none of that has been very convincing to me). Even among Adventists, however, the idea of G-d punishing people (just not for eternity) has persisted, especially the more fundamentalist among us, and the idea of “justice is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord” is a source of comfort to those who wish revenge on their enemies (i.e., one of those things you lost when you lost hell).
In that context, I came to greatly appreciate the thoughts of a fine SDA theologian who sadly died recently, but who shared widely his views on the loving character of God. A great introduction to his work is a book he prepared for the general reader entitled, “Servants or Friends?” It is now available as a free PDF download from: http://www.pineknoll.org/graham/sof/ This book made Maxwell quite unpopular among those who wanted to keep a vengeful G-d.

'Till the World Ends': Britney Spears' tune Best Ever? | ADELE

As it seems is the trend for songs these days, Britney Spears' new single "Till the World Ends" leaked late today. It's the second single from her Femme Fatale album, which is due out in stores March 29, and none other than Ke$ha helped out with the lyrics.
People are going wild for it. Perez Hilton said it's "one of the best songs of Britney Spears' career!!!!" and called it "ear porn," which sounds really wrong, but he definitely loves it. Twitter is going mad with fans raving about it, and nearly everyone agrees it's much stronger than the first song to leak -- "Hold It Against Me" (except Lady Gaga fans who just think all of it sucks). Listen to it after the jump, and see what you think:
Catchy, and not as corny as one might expect with Ke$ha's help. I can definitely see packed nightclubs thumping along to the beat. There are a few more oh oh oh oh oh ohs than I'd like to hear, but overall mission accomplished in creating a dope dance tune with lyrics worthy of an anthem for party-goers around the world:

See the sunlight/ We ain't stopping/ Keep on dancing till the world ends/ If you feel it/ Let it happen/ Keep on dancing till the world endsI have no doubt it will get people dancing, but it will be interesting to see if Spears herself has it together enough to pull off a successful tour. As the Los Angeles Times points out, while Britney's Circus album was a success, she was criticized for not bringing enough energy and the amazing choreography for which she was once known to that tour.
We'll get a first glimpse of what she's got when she performs a live concert in San Francisco on March 29 for Good Morning America. If what we've heard so far is any indication, she may really be back this time.

Posso citar o exemplo de Pedro e João, que estando a porta do templo pararam para servir um necessitado. Vejo dois exemplos para nos: Parar para servir também e gesto de adoração, que trás glória e louvor ao nosso Deus. Outra coisa que me chama atenção foi que os apóstolos "viram a necessidade do coxo", prestar atenção na necessidade alheia e parar de entender Deus de uma forma vertical e um ótimo exercício para igreja do séc.21. A igreja pode sim ter evoluído e claro, mas em muitos pontos regrediu e esqueceu alguns pontos necessários que a Igreja Primitiva tinha, mas em outros pontos a igreja do século XXI, tem muita coisa que lá atrás não tinha pra evangelizar e hj ela tem, mas a Igreja Primitiva deu p seu sangue para testemunhar do Evangelho sem devidos recursos que temos hj!

Não havia a supremacia de uns sobre os outros, pois isso havia sido diretamente condenado pelo Mestre. O Messias ensinou um conceito de hierarquia totalmente distinto do humano (Mateus 20: 20-28, Mateus 23:1-11)

O Mestre não dizia aos discípulos: Ouçam, daqui a duas horas faremos o culto, por isso precisamos colocar uma roupa especial e ir àquele lugar especial... Não! Sua vida já era um culto ao Altíssimo. Ele ensinava em qualquer lugar, na praia, nas casas, no templo em Jerusalém, num monte, etc. Ele não se escondia das pessoas, mas conversava com todos os que O buscavam e convidavam. Jesus vivenciava o Evangelho 24 horas por dia e assim deve ser conosco também. A santidade do Senhor não era religiosa, como a dos fariseus. Não era baseada nas aparências, mas sim no Espírito que habitava Nele. Assim devemos ser.

A leitura das Escrituras era uma parte importante do culto no primeiro século. Como não existia a divisão de capítulos e versículos, às vezes livros inteiros eram lidos numa só reunião, principalmente tratando-se de uma epístola apostólica. O Antigo Testamento era recebido como divinamente inspirado. Não existia o que hoje chamamos de "Novo Testamento". Existiam as cartas escritas pelos apóstolos, que hoje fazem parte do que chamamos de Novo Testamento.

O que todos precisamos é buscar a maturidade espiritual, a qual nos mostrará como devemos agir em qualquer situação ou lugar, até mesmo no culto. Quem tem o discernimento espiritual e vive segundo a mente de Cristo, não necessita de regras humanas de conduta (I Corintios 2:15-16). Nos tempos da perseguição dos primeiros séculos, a pregação buscava dar ânimo aos irmãos, afim de que, na hora da prova, eles se achassem fortes. Muitos discursos tinham como objetivo lembrar os sofrimentos e o valor dos mártires e havia exortação para imitar as virtudes daqueles que haviam sido fiéis até a morte.

Assuntos controversos e falsos ensinos não eram desconhecidos. As pregações apologéticas tinham o objetivo de ensinar aos que estavam começando as verdades da fé que eles iam professar publicamente e que com muita freqüência teriam que defender diante dos ataques do paganismo e do próprio governo imperial de Roma. Essa classe de discursos nunca entrava no culto propriamente dito e geralmente faziam parte de epístolas.

Voltando à reunião dos primeiros irmãos, o canto era também uma parte importante. Eram cantados salmos de Davi e hinos compostos pelos irmãos, os quais faziam referência às verdades da Graça do novo pacto. A oração era uma das partes essenciais do culto. Os cristãos se reuniam não somente para ouvir falar sobre o Pai, mas para falar com o Pai e ouvi-Lo falar. A linguagem da oração era austera, evitando toda retórica desnecessária. As orações estavam cheias da linguagem das Escrituras, especialmente dos salmos e profetas. As orações não eram longas, evitando-se toda vã repetição. A oração pertencia a toda a assembléia e era dirigida numa língua inteligível.

Havia problemas nas reuniões primitivas? Sim, havia. Esses problemas são corrigidos por Paulo e outros apóstolos em suas cartas. Nas ekklesias se reúnem pessoas justificadas, mas que, ao mesmo tempo, estão em processo de crescimento e maturidade. É possível que surjam dificuldades. Porém, tais dificuldades serão resolvidas pelo próprio Espírito Santo, se realmente houver comunhão sincera entre os irmãos. Um dos principais propósitos da comunhão é esse: que os mais fortes, experientes e sábios possam ajudar, apoiar e ensinar aos menos. Pode haver diferença de idéias e opiniões entre os irmãos? Sim, é possível.

O Mestre não ensinou a Seus discípulos a construírem nenhum templo, nem estruturas espetaculares, já que o Evangelho fora revelado para ser vivido em nossas vidas, as 24 horas do dia, e as reuniões entre os irmãos podem ser feitas em qualquer lugar (João 4:19-24). Não estamos aqui afirmando que um templo ou local determinado para a reunião entre os irmãos seja um erro. Quando se considera um templo como um lugar físico como qualquer outro lugar para reunir-nos, não há divergência alguma com o Evangelho vivido pelos irmãos primitivos, embora eles não fizessem questão alguma de construir templos nos 3 primeiros séculos, mesmo contando com milhares de irmãos em algumas cidades.

É na experiência do Ungido em Sua caminhada com os Seus discípulos que devemos pautar nossa caminhada como Igreja! Vemos, na Palavra, que nem sequer o Senhor Jesus fez questão de manter fisicamente todos ao seu lado (Marcos 9:38-40). Então, não podemos afirmar, como o fazem alguns, que o simples fato de discípulos d Cristo se reunirem num templo, numa reunião com 5.000 ou 10.000 pessoas seja um erro. Não! Apenas estamos apontando para a experiência da Igreja nas primeiras décadas, onde se deu um grande crescimento em todos os sentidos sem a necessidade de grandes estruturas institucionais centralizadoras

Denominações que fazem acordos com os poderes políticos, transformando as igrejas em verdadeiros currais eleitorais. Ensinos que estimulam o paganismo daqueles que apenas querem algo da Divindade em troca de "algo" dado pela pessoa. Em muitos lugares, embora não se diga abertamente, as bênçãos são vendidas, pregando-se a idéia que, enquanto maior for a oferta e/ou o sacrifício, maior será a benção a ser adquirida. Em outros lugares, se repartem ou se vendem "objetos sagrados" ou "objetos ungidos".

O Senhor Jesus não veio com o propósito de fundar denominações. Não veio estabelecer estruturas espetaculares. Ele veio estabelecer um povo, que não pode ser denominado, nem dividido em "segmentos". Isso tem trazido muitas disputas no seio da Igreja. Se cada um seguisse a Cristo em Espírito e em Verdade, e estivesse apenas ocupado em obedecer ao Senhor e em amar a seus irmãos, não haveria contendas ou divisões. Ninguém chamaria para si o controle e gerenciamento de nenhum desses segmentos. Porém, o próprio conceito de "denominação" já é uma divisão...

Porém, a liberdade do Evangelho nos leva a buscar crescimento e santidade em Cristo e não nas regras impostas por homens em nome de Cristo. Não seremos mais santos obedecendo a regras humanas de comportamento e bons costumes, mas obedeceremos a real vontade do Pai para todas as áreas de nossas vidas quando deixarmos que o Espírito Santo seja o Senhor de todas as nossas ações. Isso nos levará à verdadeira santidade.

Não se trata de saudosismo, mas sim de uma constatação. Constatação de que muitos perderam o foco.
Ninguém nega que os problemas da igreja existem desde primórdio, senão não teria o porquê das repreensões feitas por Paulo, aos amados irmãos, chamando a atenção deles duramente. Só que hoje muitos relativizam a Palavra, deturpa a Palavra, e como Annette postou, as mentes estão tão cauterizadas que é muito difícil reverter a situação.
Quem hoje em dia usaria essas palavras que Paulo usou para chamar a atenção da igreja?
“Porque vós, irmãos, fostes chamados à liberdade. Não useis então da liberdade para dar ocasião à carne, mas servi-vos uns aos outros pelo amor.”

“Se vós, porém, vos mordeis e devorais uns aos outros, vede não vos consumais também uns aos outros.”

“Digo, porém: Andai em Espírito, e não cumprireis a concupiscência da carne.

Em geral é nesta acepção que a frase em questão é dita. Nesse sentido, quando Jesus diz a Pedro que sobre Ele (a Pedra) seria erguida Sua Igreja, o Mestre está estabelecendo-se como o alicerce, o fundamento da fé que se seguiria pelos milênios a seguir. Só que Ele em nenhuma passagem da Bíblia especifica como o homem deveria manter o Corpo sobre este fundamento. Isto é uma decisão que Jesus deixou a cargo do homem.

Fato é que se Jesus nunca instituiu uma organização religiosa que o tivesse como alicerce, também nunca proibiu. Repare que o que Jesus critica, por exemplo, nos maus fariseus em momento algum é sua organização ou o fato de cultuarem Deus de modo institucional, sua crítica a eles era uma questão do indivíduo, do coração, e não da instituição: a hipocrisia, a falsa aparência de piedade, a religiosidade aparente sem um “religare” autêntico, sempre questões de foro pessoal e nunca institucional.

Embora hoje estejamos assistindo um crescimento da igreja crista nao vemos a correspondende transformacao da nossa sociedade. Muitos lideres no intuito de crescer suas igrejas pregam um outro evangelho de curas milagres e visoes. Nao pregam a cruz de cristo mas as revelacoes dos seus proprios coracoes. Pregam nao o que e certo mas o que dar certo. Pregam para agradar seus ouvintes e nao para conduzi los ao arrependimento.
